Use of Redirection Pages

When a page on your site has out lived its life and or another URL you have no longer carries the content it was originally created for it may be tempting to use that already indexed and well listed page to act as a Redirect Site Page to your main website.

Whilst this may be tempting to drive traffic it is not accepted by Search Engines as being a correct use of a page url. If the content has changed then it is better not to place a redirect on the page but instead remove the outdated content and upload new content that is relevant and current. You can include a text link to your other home page or sites. If you only make it a redirect site then you stand the chance of removal of your site altogether from the Search Engine DBS [Database].
