Virtually all directories and search engines will send a confirmation email to you, which normally require a response and some action. If you fail do this within the time period then your submission is automatically deleted and the submission will have been wasted.
Most free directories have human editors who will eventually review your submission and decide to list your website within 4 to 6 weeks and some may do it within days. The majority of directories will entice you to pay for submission to obtain an express review service within 7 days. This is not, we feel, necessary, as you are better off spending that money on more submissions, rather than less submissions with a quicker review period. Be patient and spend wisely

The reason why you need to maintain a continued programme of submission is because the majority of smaller search engines and directories will only retain your website in their database for a short period of time, such as 6 months, then automatically delete it to remove dead links and failed pages. We need to resubmit your site, periodically, to make sure you stay listed in those directories.
